How the tools work
The tools are pure client-side calculators. No reading is sent to a server; once the page has loaded, the arithmetic keeps working with the network off. Each formula is a published method (AOCS or ISO) or a stated approximation, and the thresholds on the grade checker and COA interpreter come from the same published ECOWAS and literature bands that feed the specification pages, not EMI contractual limits.

Accuracy and limits
A calculator is only as good as the measured inputs. The FFA and lye tools are exact arithmetic on the figures you type. The grade checker and COA interpreter are indicative screens against published regional and literature ranges — not a laboratory grading and not a certificate. Reference ranges are shown with their source on each tool page.
