Summary
Quality standard
EMI Agro Industries Limited produces shea butter to NIS 571:2013. Test methods are drawn from AOCS and ISO. Status of registrations and certifications is published on the Certifications & Quality page and is not restated as a claim here.
Batch testing
Every finished shea butter batch is tested in the in-house laboratory before a Certificate of Analysis is issued. Parameters include free fatty acid, peroxide value, moisture, melting point and colour, with identity parameters as specified on the order.
Traceability
Intake lots receive a batch code that follows the kernels through pressing, packing and the Certificate of Analysis.
Improvement
Certification programmes in progress or in pursuit are listed with their actual status. We only describe a standard as held when we can produce the certificate.
