Which EMI Agro shea butter product should I choose for cosmetics, soap or food?

Specify unrefined Grade A where natural colour, odour and the full unsaponifiable fraction matter (cosmetics, soap, lip balm, hair, body butter). Specify refined N-RBD where a white, odourless, very-low-FFA fat is required (food, cocoa butter equivalent, pharmaceutical excipient). Shea press cake is not a butter.

Are unrefined Grade A and refined N-RBD the same fat?

They are the same shea fat at two processing depths. Unrefined Grade A is pressed and filtered. Refined N-RBD is then neutralised, bleached and deodorised. The application decides which one to specify — not a quality ranking of one over the other.

What documents accompany each EMI Agro shea butter product shipment?

A Certificate of Analysis is issued per batch. Certificate of origin, packing list, commercial invoice and bill of lading are the usual commercial set; destination-specific certificates are confirmed on the order. See the sample COA page for the parameter list we report.
