China is a destination market, not a shea-growing region. Drums arriving at Shanghai are West African origin. Why China buys Nigerian shea butter
China is a destination market, not a shea-growing region. Drums arriving at Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen or Guangzhou are West African origin. Guangzhou and Shenzhen OEMs, Shanghai traders and inland fillers specify shea as they specify other tropical butters — against a COA, not a brand story.
NMPA filing is for finished cosmetics the Chinese responsible person places on the market. Food-use drums need a CIFER-registered overseas plant and the importer's GACC path. EMI Agro's published marks remain NAFDAC registered, SON approved and HACCP in progress; organics stay in pursuit. Do not write NMPA or CIFER as an EMI certificate.
Name Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen or Guangzhou on the quote. Typical ocean time from Lagos is about 32–50 days. Split inland delivery after discharge is the importer's arrangement. One bill of lading names one discharge port.
How to buy from EMI Agro in China
China buyers choose EXW, FOB or CIF. CIF is usually named to Shanghai or another listed South / East China port. Each term prices different services beyond the butter. There is no published RMB or USD price list.

Cold-pressed, wild-collected unrefined Grade A shea butter from Ibadan, Nigeria: ivory to pale yellow, natural odour, produced to NIS 571:2013 with a Certificate of Analysis on every batch.
Refined N-RBD (neutralised, bleached, deodorised) shea butter: white to off-white, odourless, very low in free fatty acid, specified for food, cocoa butter equivalent, pharmaceutical excipient and neutral cosmetic bases.
The solid residue left after mechanical pressing of shea kernels at EMI Agro Industries, Ibadan: supplied in bulk as an input for animal feed, soap making and organic fertiliser or biomass.
Application notes for cosmetics sit on unrefined Grade A for cosmetics; food use sits on refined N-RBD for food manufacturing.
